Ajax driver blows more than three times legal limit after crash north of Brampton: OPP's Profile

An Ajax man is facing impaired driving charges after a two-vehicle crash in a rural area of Caledon, north of Brampton.

Around 8:13 a.m. on Wednesday, OPP officers were called to a section of Highway 9 in the Hamlet of Mono Mills, east of Orangeville.

Officers say two vehicles crashed and one of the drivers appeared impaired. That driver failed a roadside breath test and a second series of tests at the station.

According to officers, his BAC was 260 mg of alcohol per 100 ml of blood– more than three times the legal limit.

The driver wasn’t named, but officers say a 30-year-old Ajax man is charged with operation while impaired – BAC over 80 mg, careless driving and having care of control of a motor vehicle with liquor readily available.
