Officials in Ajax are investigating a house fire.
The blaze broke out early Friday morning on Hunwicks Crescent, in the Gillett Drive and Williamson Drive East area.
Fire officials say there were three or four people in the house and everyone got out except for one. That person was rescued by fire crews and taken to hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation and as a precaution.
Officials add the home was significantly damaged and at this point, the Ontario Fire Marshal will not be investigating.
The blaze also damaged properties beside the home as well.
