Promising review: “What can I say, it’s Le Creuset! Quality and craftsmanship are superb. Thankfully, nabbed this little guy via ‘Flash Sale’ or I wouldn’t have bought it. Yes, these are ungodly expensive kitchen utensils, but worth every nickel. They’re consistently flawless, and this is our third piece of Le Creuset. I liked this particular 3.5-quart model for its size and utility (our other two pieces are significantly larger). Our other pieces were gifts so this one was the first we’d ever bought ourselves, and we’re tickled that we did. My only ‘beef’ (pun intended) is that like all enameled cast iron cookware, the inside will (eventually) stain and there’s no avoiding this reality. The more you use them, the more ‘seasoned’ they will become, and the interior will, over time/usage, begin to stain. I’ve no tips on how best and safely to remedy this natural cause-effect myself but as for cooking applications Le Creuset is practically nonpareil IMHO. I enjoy cooking…A LOT, and our stuff gets used. This handy little bugger fits the bill when a behemoth cast iron piece just isn’t necessary. It’s versatile, lighter than other pieces due to size, extremely durable/well made and very likely could wind up one of those ‘heirloom’ pieces that gets passed down from generation to generation. Does this justify the price tag? I don’t know, you be the judge. However, if you buy it, just know you’re making a legitimate investment that will pay for itself over and over and over again for decades to come. Yes, I would recommend this piece, 100%. Happy cooking!!” —rw24
