“Barbie Princess Adventure” Is Coming To Netflix's Profile

Bring on those wholesome, nostalgic vibes.

Since things have been, well, a bit shit because of the coronavirus and the lockdown measures we’ve all had to take, I’ve found myself gravitating towards old, nostalgic movies more and more for comfort.

This includes the Barbie films, which I was a huge fan of while growing up. Not only were they beautifully animated and had positive messages, but the movies never failed to cheer me up.

To this day, I still can’t pick a favourite. But, in saying that, I’ll always have a soft spot for Barbie As The Princess And The Pauper, Barbie As Rapunzel and Barbie Of Swan Lake — which were my top three in a definitive ranking I did.

Doing this ranking was like choosing between all my babies.

That’s why I was so excited when I heard about the announcement for a new movie called Barbie Princess Adventure.

I know, it sounds like something that’s made for kids, right? But, the storyline sounds super topical and fresh for a Barbie movie.

The film describes itself as a “modern princess tale” that defies conventional fantasy tropes by focusing on self-discovery, rather than fairytale romance.

It’ll also focus on empowerment and finding your voice in the age of social media by inspiring viewers to discover their true selves.

Plus, there will be six original songs! And if it’s anything like the Princess And The Pauper soundtrack, that means it’s sure to be a banger.

Basically, it sounds like wholesome vibes all around, which is just the sort of thing my mind needs during this gloomy period.

Here’s the trailer if you want a sneak peek at all the action.
