The Toronto Blue Jays just need to clear one more hurdle to come home and start training camp.
At his daily update on Monday, Doug Ford said health officials at all levels of government have now given the team the OK but they still need the federal government to waive or tweak the 14-day mandatory quarantine law, as the Jays would be coming in from Florida.
The plan is for the team to arrive in Toronto on Wednesday and begin training camp at the Rogers Centre on Friday.
MLB’s pandemic shortened 60-game regular season is set to begin July 23 or 24.
