If you live in Brock Township, Durham Region wants to hear your thoughts on support services in the area.
Regional staff are holding a public information session and have launched an online survey.
They’re planning to bring more services to north Durham, which will connect with the new housing project planned in Beaverton.
These services range from medical care, mental health counselling, financial assistance, rental support, seniors support and more.
A virtual information session is happening at 6:30 p.m. on October 29. You can register now to speak at the session and help inform decisions about service delivery.
Staff will also provide an overview of the Beaverton housing project.
To register, call 905-668-7711 ext. 2473 or email social services@durham.ca.
If you can’t make it, an online survey will be open until October 30. Click here to fill out the survey.
“Durham Region is a caring community—a place where everyone deserves dignity and feels that they belong,” said Regional Chair John Henry. “Through our strategic plan public consultations last year, we heard loud and clear that north Durham residents are looking for more services related to housing, addiction, homelessness and health. We need community input to outline priorities and help us fill the gaps they have identified.”
