Canada’s military members heading home after helping out at LTC homes during COVID-19 pandemic's Profile

Canada’s Armed Forces are heading home.

The military says you may see a higher number of soldiers on Ontario roads Wednesday as they head home from their recent deployments.

Military staff helped out during the COVID-19 pandemic at long-term care homes struggling to get a handle on the virus, including Pickering’s Orchard Villa.

They have been deployed in seven homes across Ontario over the last two months and now they’re heading home.

The troops are leaving from CFB Borden, near Barrie, and you may see a spike in traffic.

They’re also asking you to show support to the Forces members as they make their way home.
