A Clarington woman has been arrested after the discovery of a body in north Pickering.
Investigators found a deceased female Sunday night, in a wooded area near Pickering Concession Road 9 and Sideline 28. Police have not yet said how they were alerted to the area.
A woman, 72, has been charged with second-degree murder.
A Clarington home is also being searched; police say they have “secured a residence” on Fairway Drive in Wilmot Creek.
Police have yet to name either the suspect or the victim. Forensic investigators are still confirming the identity of the victim.
