Community cleanups throughout Durham marking Earth Day's Profile

Friday is Earth Day and if you want to do your part, a couple of community cleanups in Durham could use your help.

Both are happening Saturday.

There’s one in Pickering being put on by the Oak Ridges Moraine Land Trust. They’re hosting a cleanup event at the Ruth Nature Reserve from 9 a.m. until 12 p.m. Saturday. If you go, meet at the dead-end of Pickering Uxbridge Townline Road, East of Lakeridge Road.

Another cleanup is happening in Oshawa. Friends of Second Marsh are holding an event along Colonel Sam Drive, adjacent to the Oshawa Second Marsh, from 10 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. Saturday.
