Concerning substances found in off-leash dog area at Toronto’s High Park; samples being tested's Profile

There are no reports of any sick animals, despite a concerning discovery at High Park in Toronto.

Police were called Tuesday after someone noticed what appeared to be “dog food and patches of blue snow” along a fence bounding the park’s off-leash dog area.

Investigators note most of the food and blue snow were found outside the fenced-in boundaries, in what is known as the ‘forest regeneration zone.’

The materials have been cleaned up by park staff and samples have been sent to Health Canada for testing.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at 416-808-1100. You can also contact Crime Stoppers anonymously at 416-222-8477 (TIPS), or click here.
