A construction company is facing negligence charges over a crash in Barrie that claimed the lives of six people in their 20s.
The tragic incident happened in late August, on a rural road southwest of the city centre.
Four men and two women were heading to a casino, when their vehicle plummeted into an open pit on the roadway.
In the hours after the crash, the group was reported missing.
Police didn’t discover the scene until the following day.
After months of investigating, Con-Drain Company Ltd. is facing six charges of criminal negligence causing death.
The Vaughan-based company mainly installs sewers and water lines.
Representatives are due in court to answer for the charges February 13th.
