Investigators have released a surveillance photo of two men believed to be responsible for an armed robbery in Pickering.
Officers say on Thursday, December 8, at approximately 7 p.m., police responded to an armed robbery at the Meridian Credit Union on Kingston Road.
Two men, both armed with handguns entered the bank and demanded cash from the employees.
The suspects then forced the employees into the vault and took a quantity of cash before fleeing the scene.
Suspect #1 is described as a Black man, approximately 6’tall with a slim build. He was wearing a black track suit, black shoes, a construction vest and a balaclava.
Suspect #2 is described as a Black man, approximately 5’8″ tall. He was wearing faded black jeans, red and white Jordan shoes, a dark sweater, construction vest and a ski mask.
Meridian Credit Union is now offering a $15,000 reward to anyone who provides any information that leads to the arrest of the two men involved. Meridan advised this a further step taken by them to help protect its employees and its members.
Anyone with surveillance or dashcam video in the area at the time of the incident, or anyone with new information about this investigaton is asked to call police at 1-888-579-1520 ext. 5355 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
