Disney Channel Scary Movies And TV Show Moments's Profile

I could never look at Esteban the same way ever again.

Disney Channel is known for keeping things family friendly, but some of these TV episodes and DCOM moments actually got a little spooky!

1.

When the evil magician in Now You See It… tried to kill Danny by dropping a 1,000-pound weight on his head.

Disney

Thank goodness Danny has fast reflexes and jumped out of the way! This DCOM was pretty underrated (and freaky) as a whole and I still feel like I need closure from this moment.

2.

When the Suite Life gang wanted to find the ghost in Suite 613 and Esteban became possessed by her in The Suite Life of Zack and Cody.

Disney

Honestly, can we give this man an Oscar for this episode?

3.

And later, when the spirit actually came to life and terrified Zack and Cody in the same episode.

Disney

*CUE CREEPY MUSIC THAT I WILL NEVER FORGET*

4.

When a monster watched a family through a kitchen window and burst through it to attack them at the beginning of Under Wraps.

Disney

Thankfully, it was just a fake-out because this was a “movie within a movie” moment. The main character, Marshall, loves watching spooky movies with his friends.

5.

When Louis saw the whole school get turned into eyeless zombies and chased after him in Even Stevens.

Disney

It was one thing to see kids getting their eyeballs zapped out, but seeing them without eyes (pretty good special effects for 2002, btw) was A LOT. And then to have them chase him? The scare-o-meter was off the charts for this episode!

6.

When Adam almost got bit by an evil vampire in Mom’s Got a Date with a Vampire.

Disney

The vampire captured Adam’s sister, put his mom in a trance, and knocked out the best vampire hunter around. Talk about tension!

7.

And in another Even Stevens episode, when Louis was intensely followed by a strange man for a week because he was “out to get” Beans (who might be an alien?).

Disney

There’s a nighttime stakeout, alien languages, and all-around spookiness in this episode.

8.

When everyone became frozen under a spell in Halloweentown, including Marnie’s mom, and she didn’t know if she could save them.

Disney

Sure, with adult eyes, this doesn’t seem so bad. But as a kid? I panicked watching Marnie try to get her mom to wake up.

9.

And when Marnie’s mom fell victim to Kal’s spell and couldn’t take off her mask, so she became a terrifying creature in Halloweentown II: Kalabar’s Revenge.

Disney

No amount of tugging could get that mask off her face thanks to Kal. I definitely prefer human Gwen over evil-creature Gwen any day.

10.

When Raven and Chelsea accidentally cast a spell that slowly transformed them into cows in That’s So Raven.

Disney

Chelsea’s cow-like tongue put the icing on the cake of this freaky Halloween episode.

11.

When the elusive phantom would randomly pop in and terrorize moviegoers in Phantom of the Megaplex.

Disney

They always played that creepy organ music when the phantom popped up, and I couldn’t handle it!

12.

When Pam (a computer program) physically removed the scientist who programmed her, electrocuted the doorknobs, and bolted all the exits and windows so no one could leave in Smart House.

Disney

Things got real freaky, real fast when Pam didn’t get what she wanted.

13.

When the skeletons “came to life” and would randomly pop up throughout the “Night of the Living Dead” episode of Lizzie McGuire.

Disney

The skeletons were supposed to freak out Kate, but they also freaked me out in the process!

14.

When the darkness swallowed up Illeana in Twitches.

Disney

The darkness also dragged her partner Karsh down the staircase and set Camryn’s artwork on fire. Talk about a destructive antagonist!

15.

And finally, the entire premise of Don’t Look Under the Bed.

Disney

There’s a lot to unpack here. But since I find this movie too scary to rewatch even after all these years, you’ll have to form your own conclusions about this spooky boogeyman movie.

There ya have it! If these Disney Channel moments didn’t freak you out or scare you as kid, then I’m seriously impressed!
