Durham police say there are no safety concerns after they got a call about an armed person at a Whitby high school.
They responded to Anderson CVI just after 10 a.m. Friday.
Officers say a distraught student was taken into custody and a knife was seized.
No one was hurt.
The school was put into a lockdown, but police say it’s since been lifted.
