Durham police say a 19-year-old from Pickering is wanted after he allegedly pulled a knife during a fight, leaving a man with life-threatening injuries.

Officers have an arrest warrant for Dominic Nieminem, but investigators haven’t been able to track him down.

They say Nieminem was involved in a fight between several people back on August 29.

Police allege that he stabbed a 21-year-old during the scuffle, then took off on foot.

When officers arrived, they found the man fighting for his life.

Police say Nieminem is wanted for aggravated assault, assault with a weapon, uttering threats and possess weapon dangerous to the public.

He’s described as: white, 5’3″ tall and 98 lbs. with a slim build, hazel eyes and long brown hair (sometimes braided or in corn-rows).

Nieminem lives in the area of Liverpool Road and Finch Avenue.

Anyone with information that could help investigators locate Nieminem is urged to call D/Cst. Suthers or D/Cst. Shaddick at 1-888-579-1520 ext. 2521 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
