Durham confirms seven new COVID-19 cases on Sunday's Profile



Durham Region is reporting seven new cases of COVID-19 and no new deaths.

Sunday’s update also brings three more resolutions.

The number of active cases has risen slightly to 36.

Of the 1,715 cases that have been reported throughout the pandemic, 1,499 have already resolved.

The death toll remains at 180, with 152 linked to long-term care or retirement homes.

Three people are still in hospital, two of whom are in the ICU.

Here’s the regional breakdown as of Sunday:

Pickering — 571 total cases, nine active (three new cases)
Ajax — 450 total cases, 11 active (three new cases)
Whitby — 195 total cases, seven active (no new cases)
Oshawa — 268 total cases, two active (no new cases)
Clarington — 96 total cases,  two active (no new cases)
Uxbridge — 105 total cases, three active (one new case)
Scugog — 20 total cases, two active (no new cases)
Brock — 10 total cases, none active (no new cases)
