Durham police looking to ID man who assaulted two Metrolinx employees on GO Train in Whitby's Profile

Durham police say they’re looking for a man who assaulted two Metrolinx employees on the GO Train.

They were called around 7 p.m. Wednesday to Whitby GO Station, where the man had been kicked off.

They say he’d stepped on at Oshawa GO Station and gotten into a verbal altercation with one of the employees.

It quickly turned violent.  They say he pushed the employee down and started hitting him.

The train’s engineer intervened and got hit too.

Both employees suffered minor injuries.

The suspect is described as white and 5’9″ with short hair and a thin build.  He was wearing a black shirt (with cut-off sleeves), camouflage pants and a dark mask.  He was missing a black shoe.

Anyone with information can call Constable Roffey at 1-888-579-1520 ext. 3949, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
