A new partnership between the Pickering Public Library and the Region of Durham aims to make outreach workers more available to Pickering residents.
An outreach worker from the region will be on site at the Central Library branch on Wednesdays between 12:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. starting May 11.
The workers have a wealth of knowledge and resources that can help residents. They can help connect you with a variety of social services supports, including financial resources, housing, food security, counselling, children’s services referrals, assistance to replace government issued ID and more.
You don’t need an appointment.
