Durham reports 101 new COVID-19 cases on Thursday's Profile



On Thursday, 101 new COVID-19 cases were confirmed in Durham.

Two new deaths were reported, bringing the death toll in the region at 307.

Of those who have died, 217 were residents at long-term care or retirement homes.

The number of COVID-19 variant cases identified in the region rose by two to 71.

To date there have been 13,291 cases in Durham, with 12,304 of those cases now listed as resolved.

There are currently 680 active cases in the region.

Of those, 656 people are isolating at home and 24 are in hospital.

Ten of the people in hospital are in the ICU.

Some of the cases that were added to regional totals are from previous days.
