On Friday, 154 new COVID-19 cases were confirmed in Durham.
No new deaths were reported, leaving the death toll in the region at 338.
Of those who have died, 217 were residents at long-term care or retirement homes.
The number of COVID-19 variant cases identified in the region rose by 10 to 217.
To date there have been 20,647 cases in Durham, with 18,065 of those cases now listed as resolved.
There are currently 2,244 active cases in the region.
Of those, 2,144 people are isolating at home and 100 are in hospital.
That’s the highest the number of people in hospital has been in the region since the pandemic began.
Thirty of the people in hospital are in the ICU.
