Durham reports 156 new COVID-19 cases on Saturday's Profile



On Saturday, 156 new COVID-19 cases were confirmed in Durham.

No new deaths were reported, leaving the death toll in the region at 307.

Of those who have died, 217 were residents at long-term care or retirement homes.

The number of COVID-19 variant cases identified in the region rose by 17 to 101.

To date there have been 14,694 cases in Durham, with 13,086 of those cases now listed as resolved.

There are currently 1,301 active cases in the region.

Of those, 1,249 people are isolating at home and 52 are in hospital.

Fourteen of the people in hospital are in the ICU.

Some of the cases that were added to regional totals are from previous days.
