On Sunday, 201 new COVID-19 cases were confirmed in Durham.
One more death was reported, bringing the death toll in the region to 319.
Of those who have died, 217 were residents at long-term care or retirement homes.
The number of COVID-19 variant cases identified in the region went up by five to to 154.
To date there have been 18,025 cases in Durham, with 15,221 of those cases now listed as resolved.
There are currently 2,485 active cases in the region.
Of those, 2,396 people are isolating at home and 89 are in hospital.
That again breaks the record for hospitalizations in the region.
Thirty-four of the people in hospital are in the ICU.

As of April 17, at least 155,400 doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been administered in Durham. However, that total does not include doses given at pharmacies.
