The Durham Health Department is no longer providing updates on COVID-19 data on the weekends.
In Monday’s update, we get a look at what happened over the weekend.
There were 22 new COVID-19 cases reported on Saturday, 19 new cases on Sunday and 10 new cases on Monday.
No new deaths were reported, leaving the death toll in the region at 375.
Of those who have died, 218 were residents at long-term care or retirement homes.
The number of COVID-19 variant cases identified is now 10,006.
To date there have been 25,544 cases in Durham, with 25,083 of those cases now listed as resolved.
There are currently 86 active cases in the region.
Of those, 84 people are isolating at home and two are in hospital.
One of those in hospital is in the ICU.

As of August 8, 905,252 doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been administered in Durham.
