Durham reports 35 new COVID-19 cases on Saturday, 33 new cases on Sunday and 19 new cases on Monday's Profile



The Durham Health Department is no longer providing updates on COVID-19 data on the weekends.

In Monday’s update, we get a look at what happened over the weekend.

There were 35 new COVID-19 cases reported on Saturday, 33 new cases on Sunday and 19 new cases on Monday.

No new deaths were reported, leaving the death toll in the region at 375.

Of those who have died, 218 were residents at long-term care or retirement homes.

The number of COVID-19 variant cases identified is now 10,083.

To date there have been 25,874 cases in Durham, with 25,354 of those cases now listed as resolved.

There are currently 145 active cases in the region.

Of those, 138 people are isolating at home and two are in hospital.

One of the seven cases in hospital, one is in the ICU.

The regional data for seven confirmed cases is under investigation.

As of August 22, 932,739 doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been administered in Durham.
