Durham reports 41 new COVID-19 cases on Sunday's Profile



Durham’s health department reported 41 new COVID-19 cases on Sunday.

This comes with 26 more resolved cases.

The active case count is 235.  Ten patients are in hospital.  Four of them are in intensive care.

Since March, a total of 2,834 cases have been confirmed. Of those, 2,417 are considered resolved.  At least 182 deaths have been linked to the virus.

Here is the regional breakdown as of Sunday:

Pickering — 811 total cases, 46 active (nine new cases)
Ajax — 819 total cases, 82 active (14 new cases)
Whitby — 391 total cases, 34 active (eight new cases)
Oshawa — 458 total cases, 53 active (eight new cases)
Clarington — 193 total cases, 15 active (one new case)
Uxbridge — 118 total cases, four active (no new cases)
Scugog — 26 total cases, zero active (no new cases)
Brock — 18 total cases, one active (one new case)

*The case total has only gone up by 40, not 41.  However, one case – which was being investigated on Saturday – is no longer listed.  It has likely been confirmed by the region.
