Durham reports 52 new COVID-19 cases on Saturday's Profile



On Saturday, 52 new COVID-19 cases were confirmed in Durham.

One new death was reported, bringing the death toll in the region up to 363.

Of those who have died, 218 were residents at long-term care or retirement homes.

The number of COVID-19 variant cases identified is now 9,194.

To date there have been 24,488 cases in Durham, with 23,416 of those cases now listed as resolved.

There are currently 709 active cases in the region.

Of those, 668 people are isolating at home and 41 are in hospital.

Nineteen of the people in hospital are in the ICU.

As of May 28, 398,109 doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been administered in Durham.
