Durham reports 55 new COVID-19 cases on Saturday's Profile



On Saturday, 55 new COVID-19 cases were confirmed in Durham.

To date, 3,623 cases have been reported in the region, with 3,114 of those cases now listed as resolved.

Durham’s death toll from the virus remains at 183.

There are currently 326 active cases in Durham.

Of those, 315 people are isolating at home and 11 are in the hospital.

Two of the people in the hospital are in the ICU.

Here is the regional breakdown as of Saturday:

Pickering — 971 total cases, 59 active (seven new cases)
Ajax — 1,095 total cases, 109 active (12 new cases)
Whitby — 517 total cases, 51 active (nine new cases)
Oshawa — 614 total cases, 72 active (17 new cases)
Clarington — 245 total cases, 19 active (three new cases)
Uxbridge — 121 total cases, one active (no new cases)
Scugog — 28 total cases, two active (two new cases)
Brock — 21 total cases, two active (no new cases)

*In addition, 11 potential cases are under investigation.
