On Tuesday, 68 new COVID-19 cases were reported in Durham.
Six more deaths were also announced.
Since the pandemic began 278 people in the region have died from the virus.
Of those who died 214 people were residents in long-term care or retirement homes.
To date there have been 10,358 cases reported in Durham with 9,596 of those cases now listed as resolved.
The number of active cases in the region dropped again on Tuesday going from 580 to 484.
Of the active cases 445 people are isolating at home and 39 are in hospital.
Thirteen of the people in hospital are in the ICU.
It’s important to note that some of the cases that were added to regional totals are actually from previous days.
