Durham reports eight new COVID-19 cases on Friday's Profile



Eight new COVID-19 cases were confirmed in Durham on Friday.

To date there have been 2,020 cases in the region, but 1753 of those are listed as resolved.

There are currently 86 active cases in Durham.

Of those cases 82 are isolating at home and four are in the hospital.

One of the people in the hospital is in the ICU.

Here is the regional breakdown as of Friday:

Pickering — 649 total cases, 22 active (one new case)
Ajax — 563 total cases, 32 active (two new cases)
Whitby — 236 total cases, nine active (four new cases)
Oshawa — 309 total cases, 12 active (one new case)
Clarington — 120 total cases, four active (no new cases)
Uxbridge — 110 total cases, two active  (no new cases)
Scugog — 22 total cases, one active (no new cases)
Brock — 11 total cases, zero active (no new cases)
