Durham Region has reported five more COVID-19 cases and no new deaths.
Saturday’s update also brought one more resolved case.
The region’s tracker lists six new cases, but one case has also been removed from Uxbridge’s count. It is unclear if the data point was simply corrected.
There are currently 50 active cases in the region.
To date, 1,748 cases have been reported in Durham, 1,517 of which are considered resolved.
The death toll remains at 181, with 152 of those deaths linked to long-term care or retirement homes in the region.
Here’s the regional breakdown as of Saturday:
Pickering — 583 total cases, 19 active (two new cases)
Ajax — 461 total cases, 16 active (no new cases)
Whitby — 196 total cases, five active (no new cases)
Oshawa — 272 total cases, four active (no new cases)
Clarington — 101 total cases, five active (four new cases)
Uxbridge — 105 total cases, one active (one case removed, possibly corrected)
Scugog — 20 total cases, none active (no new cases)
Brock — 10 total cases, none active (no new cases)
