Durham reports four new COVID-19 cases as active case number falls to 88 on Friday's Profile



The number of new COVID-19 cases in Durham is in the single digits again.

On Friday, four new cases were reported.

To date there has been 2,093 cases confirmed in the region with 1,824 of those listed as resolved.

There are currently 88 active cases in the region which is 12 less than on Thursday.

Of the active cases 86 people are isolating at home and two are in hospital.

One of the people in the hospital is in the ICU.

Here is the regional breakdown as of Friday:

Pickering — 665 total cases, 17 active (no new cases)
Ajax — 585 total cases, 30 active (no new cases)
Whitby — 253 total cases, 19 active (no new cases)
Oshawa — 320 total cases, 14 active (three new cases)
Clarington — 123 total cases, four active (no new cases)
Uxbridge — 111 total cases, one active  (no new cases)
Scugog — 24 total cases, two active (one new case)
Brock — 12 total cases, one active  (no new cases)
