On Thursday, 718 new COVID-19 cases were confirmed in Durham– another local record.
No new deaths were reported, leaving the death toll in the region at 391.
Of those who have died, 227 were residents at long-term care or retirement homes.
To date there have been 34,018 cases in Durham, with 29,305 of those cases now listed as resolved.
There are currently 4,322 active cases in the region.
There are 4,318 people isolating at home and four people are in hospital.
One of the cases in hospital is in the ICU.
