Durham reports seven new COVID-19 cases since Friday's Profile



Durham’s health department is reporting seven new COVID-19 cases since Friday.

They no longer update the data tracker on the weekend.

It would appear on the data tracker that the number of cases only rose by six however, that is because a case was removed from Oshawa.

Five of the new cases are in Whitby and two are in Ajax.

The death toll in the region remains at 181.

To date 1,848 cases have been reported in Durham.

Of those 1,644 are listed as resolved.

There are 22 active cases in Durham.

Here’s the regional breakdown as of Monday:

Pickering — 604 total cases, one active (no new cases)
Ajax — 499 total cases, eight active (two new cases)
Whitby — 214 total cases, eleven active (five new cases)
Oshawa — 288 total cases, one active (one case removed)
Clarington — 104 total cases, two active (no new cases)
Uxbridge — 108 total cases, zero active (no new cases)
Scugog — 20 total cases, zero active (no new cases)
Brock — 11 total cases, zero active (no new cases)
