Durham reports two new cases of COVID-19 Friday, active cases fall to 32's Profile



Durham is reporting two new cases of COVID-19 on Friday and once again, no new deaths.

Friday’s update from the Durham Health Department shows the number of active case has fallen by three, down to 32.

None of those cases are currently in hospital. All are isolating at home.

The death toll remains at 181, most of which (152) have been linked to long-term care or retirement homes.

Since the start of the pandemic, 1,793 cases have been confirmed in Durham.

Of those, 1,580 are considered resolved.

Here’s the regional breakdown as of Friday:

Pickering — 597 total cases, 14 active (one new case)
Ajax — 473 total cases, seven active (no new cases)
Whitby — 200 total cases, three active (one new case)
Oshawa — 284 total cases,  seven active (no new cases)
Clarington — 102 total cases, one active (no new cases)
Uxbridge — 106 total cases, one active (no new cases)
Scugog — 20 total cases, zero active (no new cases)
Brock — 11 total cases, zero active (no new cases)
