Durham sees two new cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday, active cases drop to 25's Profile



There were two new cases of COVID-19 reported in Durham on Tuesday, one in Ajax and one in Whitby.

The Durham Region Health Department says they’re are now 25 active cases, with all but one being dealt with in home isolation.

The other is being treated in hospital but not the ICU.

That’s down from 27 active cases on Monday as four cases were resolved.

No new deaths were announced leaving the death toll in the region at 181.

To date 1,834 cases have been confirmed locally.

Of those 1,628 are listed as resolved.

Here’s the regional breakdown as of Tuesday:

Pickering — 603 total cases (no new cases)
Ajax — 495 total cases (one new case)
Whitby — 206 total cases (one new case)
Oshawa — 289 total cases (no new cases)
Clarington — 102 total cases (no new cases)
Uxbridge — 108 total cases (no new cases)
Scugog — 20 total cases (no new cases)
Brock — 11 total cases (no new cases)
