Durham students testing their skills at virtual Canada-wide spelling bee's Profile



Several Durham students will be taking part in the first-ever virtual Spelling Bee of Canada finals.

Students from Blaisdale Montessori in Oshawa, Williamsburg P.S. and Robert Munsch P.S. in Whitby, and Alexander Graham Bell P.S. in Ajax are heading to the finals.

Some of the winning words include: preternatural, seance, micronutrient and alutaceus.

The championship round will be taking place over Zoom, with contestants from across the country.
