Environment Canada has issued a heat warning for the rest of the week.
They say it’ll be in the low thirties between Thursday and Sunday, with overnight lows near 20 degrees Celsius.
The warning affects all of Durham Region and parts of York Region.
Experts say you should never leave children or pets inside a locked vehicle.
They add that you should pay attention to how you’re feeling. Possible signs of heat illness include nausea, rapid heartbeat and dizziness.
They recommend eating cold foods if possible.
