Evan Rachel Wood Receiving Support From Celebs And Fans's Profile

“Your courage is inspiring.”

This weekend, Evan Rachel Wood publicly named Marilyn Manson as her abuser:

Even though it was highly speculated that her abuser was Marilyn Manson — the two were in a relationship from 2007-2011 — it wasn’t officially confirmed until Evan posted to her Instagram this weekend.

The response to Evan’s disclosure has been overwhelmingly positive and inspiring.

Many celebrities have publicly shown their support for Evan on her original Instagram post:

Fellow True Blood star, Anna Paquin, showed her support:

Melissa Benoist, another survivor of domestic abuse, showed her support as well:

Pretty Persuasion co-star Selma Blair:

Wood’s supporters extended past fellow celebrities to also include fans and long-time supporters of the actor, many of whom who’ve expressed how proud they are for publicly naming Marilyn Manson:

Wow. Evan Rachel Wood just publicly named her abuser, Marilyn Manson, for the first time: “I am done living in fear of retaliation, slander, or blackmail. I am here to expose this dangerous man & call out the many industries that have enabled him, before he ruins any more lives.”

so proud of evan rachel wood for coming forward and stating marilyn manson as her abuser

it takes strength and courage to speak about & relive your trauma especially when they are a prominent figure

abusers need to be held accountable for their actions no matter who they are!

I worked opposite a 14 year old #EvanRachelWood, & knew I was in the presence of an incredibly gifted young actress. It sickens me that her “celebrated” abuser took advantage of her innocence. I’m so sorry Evan. Strength & talent can’t be defeated. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

The most moving messages of support have been from those who are hopeful from her bravery:

Thank you #EvanRachelWood. When women feel safe enough to share their stories of #domesticviolence and stand in solidarity with their sisters, the mountains of misogyny can be moved. https://t.co/NSOebVluxv

proud of Evan Rachel Wood and other women who came forward about Marilyn Manson. it’s disgusting that we STILL require multiple survivors in order to believe women, esp when they have receipts. survivors truly gain nothing by coming forward so can we just believe them already?thx
