Four new cases of COVID-19 in Durham on Thursday, active cases remain at 20's Profile



There were four new cases of COVID-19 reported in Durham, one each in Ajax and Whitby and two in Clarington.

The Durham Region Health Department says there are now 20 active cases, with all being dealt with in home isolation.

That’s the same as it was on Wednesday.

No new deaths were announced leaving the death toll in the region at 181.

To date 1,841 cases have been confirmed locally.

Of those 1,640 are listed as resolved.

Here’s the regional breakdown as of Thursday:

Pickering — 603 total cases, two active (no new cases)
Ajax — 497 total cases, eight active (one new case)
Whitby — 209 total cases, seven active (one new case)
Oshawa — 289 total cases, one active (no new cases)
Clarington — 104 total cases, two active (two new cases)
Uxbridge — 108 total cases, zero active (no new cases)
Scugog — 20 total cases, zero active (no new cases)
Brock — 11 total cases, zero active (no new cases)
