A head-on crash in Ajax has left a young girl seriously hurt.
Police say a westbound Ford F150 collided with an eastbound Volkswagen Jetta at the intersection of Taunton Road West and Westney Road North, around 6:15 a.m. Friday.
The head-on collision happened in the middle of the intersection.
The 37-year-old driver of the VW was taken to hospital with non life-threatening injuries, but his four-year-old daughter was rushed to a trauma centre.
As of Friday afternoon, she was listed in critical, but stable condition.
A second child in the VW was unhurt, as was the driver of the Ford.
The intersection was closed for several hours for an investigation.
