Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for Durham Friday night.
They say there’s a chance of freezing rain hitting the region overnight.
The storm will start out as snow in the late afternoon with ice pellets mixed in during the evening.
If the freezing rain kicks in overnight, there could be some ice accumulating on the roads.
In northern Durham, the freezing rain should be brief and patchy.
The weather ties back to a low-pressure system that’s moving from Texas toward the southern shore of Lake Erie.
