Environment Canada has issued a freezing rain warning for Durham Region.
The weather agency says it’s expected to begin on Tuesday morning.
They say a few millimetres of accumulation is possible on untreated surfaces.
The freezing rain is expected to change over to light rain by late Tuesday morning or early afternoon.
They say surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become icy and slippery.
The weather agency says there may be a significant impact on rush hour traffic.
