A Mississauga man is facing an impaired driving charge after avoiding a traffic stop in Pickering.
Officers were first called Thursday to the area of Brock Road and Pickering Parkway.
They said they tried to stop the driver of a Jeep Cherokee, but he fled on Highway 401.
He was eventually pulled over in the driveway of a residence on Bellamy Road in Scarborough.
The man, 41, has been charged with operation while prohibited, exceed and impaired operation of a conveyance.
Officers from @DRPSWestDiv located an impaired driver last night, thanks to a citizen who called in a suspicious vehicle. The driver failed to stop for police but he was eventually arrested in Scarborough on a residential driveway. Please don’t drive impaired. pic.twitter.com/MVzVKTFNSN
