Just one new case of COVID-19 reported in Durham on Saturday, active cases fall to 26's Profile



Durham is reporting just one new case of COVID-19 on Saturday and once again, no new deaths.

Saturday’s update from the Durham Health Department also shows the number of active case has fallen by six, down to 26.

None of those cases are currently in hospital. All are isolating at home.

The death toll remains at 181, most of which (152) have been linked to long-term care or retirement homes.

Since the start of the pandemic, 1,794 cases have been confirmed in Durham.

Of those, 1,587 are considered resolved.

Here’s the regional breakdown as of Saturday:

Pickering — 597 total cases, 10 active (no new cases)
Ajax — 473 total cases, five active (no new cases)
Whitby — 200 total cases, three active (no new cases)
Oshawa — 284 total cases,  six active (no new cases)
Clarington — 102 total cases, zero active (no new cases)
Uxbridge — 107 total cases, two active (one new case)
Scugog — 20 total cases, zero active (no new cases)
Brock — 11 total cases, zero active (no new cases)
