Lane restrictions and closures coming to Townline Road North in Oshawa/Courtice's Profile

The region of Durham is advising residents of upcoming lane restrictions and road closures on Townline Road North on the border of Oshawa and Courtice.

Lane restrictions will occur along Townline Road North (Regional Road 55) from Taunton Road (Regional Road 4) to Coldstream Drive.

Crews will be working to complete construction and install sanitary sewers and watermains.

It’s expected to last from May 12 to May 31 but unfavourable weather conditions may influence the work schedule.

Townline Road will be closed to through traffic in four stages throughout the year between Beatrice Street East to Coldstream Drive.

Further advanced notice will be provided to confirm closure dates and detour routes.

Access for local traffic and emergency vehicles will be maintained throughout the project and businesses in the area will remain open throughout the construction.
