Crews will be installing some new water and sanitary service around Adelaide Avenue West (Regional Road 58) in Oshawa, leading to some lane restrictions starting August 17.
Lanes in both directions will be restricted on Adelaide, from Thornton Road to Severn Street, just east of the lights.
The work is only expected to take two days, so the lane restrictions should only be in place until August 18.
As always, bad weather could cause delays.
Drivers are asked to slow down and watch out for cyclists, pedestrians and work crews.
