Louisville police officers will not face criminal charges in Breonna Taylor’s death's Profile

A Kentucky grand jury has brought no charges against Louisville police for the killing of Breonna Taylor during a drug bust gone wrong.

Prosecutors ruled Wednesday that two of the officers who fired their guns into the home where Taylor had been sleeping were “justified” in using such force to protect themselves.

However, one officer, Brett Hankison was charged with three counts of wanton endangerment.

Those charges do not stem from Taylor’s killing, but from Hankison allegedly firing into Taylor’s neighbour’s homes as well.

Hankison has already been fired by the police department.

Taylor was shot multiple times by officers who burst into her home on March 13 while serving a so-called “no-knock warrant.”

Protestors began marching in the city immediately after charged were announced, with many expressing anger and frustration that the grand jury did not do more.
