Man charged after theft investigation in Uxbridge's Profile



Durham police have charged a man and seized stolen property after a theft investigation in Uxbridge.

On March 10, officers began investigating the theft of a monitoring device for trail conditions within Durham Regional Forest, in Uxbridge.

On Thursday, investigators executed a search warrant at a storage facility in the area of Bloomington Road and York/Durham Line in Whitchurch-Stouffville.

During the search warrant, investigators seized stolen property.

David Halpenny, 58, of Waterloo is charged with theft under $5000 and possession of property obtained by crime under $5000.
