Durham police say they aren’t looking for any other suspects in connection with the region’s 7th homicide of the year.
Officers were called to Griffiths Drive, in the Church Street and Delaney Drive area, around 5:30 p.m. Monday over a family dispute.
When they arrived, they found an 83-year-old man in the home without vital signs and suffering from significant trauma. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
John Larter, 40, of Ajax was arrested and charged with second degree murder.
Police say the suspect and victim know each other and they believe it’s an isolated incident.
