Durham police have charged an Oshawa man after a head-on crash between a stolen vehicle and a police cruiser.

Officers got a call about the stolen vehicle Saturday around 5 a.m. and were told the vehicle was heading towards Pickering Concession Road 9 and Sideline Road 12 in Pickering.

An officer was parked on the side of the road when the suspect vehicle headed directly toward him and hit his cruiser head-on.
